AWARDS

AWARDS

We present award certificates to individuals or groups for extraordinary achievements in creating, recreating, research and organisational work, cultural education, development of cultural co-operation with Slovenians in neighbouring countries and around the world and preserving national cultural heritage.

Awards are the highest national certificates of the fund, which can be given to individuals or groups in Slovenia for their work and engagement in the area of amateur culture. The two award certificates of the fund are the Gold Plaquette and the Silver Plaquette. We award up to one Gold Plaquette per year and five Silver Plaquettes, namely at the central annual ceremony of the fund, which takes place every year at the end of January in Ljubljana Castle in the city of Ljubljana.

Sectoral Awards

Sectoral Awards are special awards of the fund that can be given to individuals or groups in Slovenia for their work and engagement in individual areas of amateur culture:

Gallus Plaquette and Gallus Charter – for activities in music;

Linhart Plaquette and Lihnart Charter – for activities in theatre;

Marolt Plaquette and Marolt Charter – for activities in folklore;

Meta Vidmar Plaquette and Meta Vidmar Charter – for activities in dancing;

Jubilee Awards and Badges

The fund also takes care for adequate promotion and rewarding of individuals and groups for past amateur and creative work, so we award the Gold and Silver Jubilee Awards for long-lasting activities in the area of amateur cultural activities and Sectoral Jubilee Badges.

The criteria for presenting awards

The criteria for presenting awards are justified by incredible creative and recreating achievements over a longer period of time or as an award certificate for lifetime, successful or long-lasting work. The award certificates are thus the fruit of incredible achievements in organisational work, development of new forms and contents of activities, work in the area of cultural education, research, organisation of professional counselling and mentor work, development of cultural co-operation with Slovenians in the neighbouring countries and around the world, journalistic work and preserving national cultural heritage. The presentation of sectoral awards is justified by incredible creative and recreating achievements or lifetime work in an individual area.
