INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATION

INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMMES AND PROJECTS

International co-operation is also highly important for the promotion and exchange of cultural practices. As an organisation, JSKD is involved in most international professional organisations. In 2011, it took over the tasks of the secretariat of the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing Association. JSKD is also involved in the European network for promotion and active participation in cultural activities AMATEO. The network acts as a representative body and an informational platform at the European level and connects socio-cultural organisations that represent interests of amateur cultural organisations across Europe and encourage their inclusion into European cultural programmes. In the framework of the programme scheme, JSKD prepares numerous educational modules (seminars, workshops) with internationally acknowledged mentors and participants from all European countries. By encouraging intercultural dialogue and flow of information and by realising common projects, festivals, exchanges and guest appearances as well as partner projects, it establishes amateur cultural activities as an important factor in intercultural co-operation at the European and global level.

JSKD connects with similar professional organisations abroad –- CEC (Central European Committee of the International Amateur Theatre Association), AITA/IATA, EUROPA CANTAT (European Choral Association), IFCM (International Federation of Choral Music), CFN (Choral Festival Network), EGP (European Grand Prix Association), CIOFF (International Council of Organisations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts), DaCi (Dance and the Child International).

As a member of the international network for active participation in culture AMATEO, JSKD has, for nearly two decades, been included in the performance of several successful international projects that were financed from various European social and structural financial sources.
