JSKD is major governmental institution covering all branches of amateur culture and art: vocal and instrumental music, theater and puppet, folklore, film and video, literature, fine arts, dance.

JSKD headquarters in Ljubljana and fifty-nine branch offices all over Slovenia stimulate the development of Slovenian amateur art.

We organize international, national and regional programes of education, presentations and reviews of non-professional culture and art.

Festivals, competitions, seminars and workshops are conducted by professional pedagogues, mentors or renowned artists.
